Gathering on the Green – Trusthorpe, Lincolnshire 2026
Every year, the small coastal village of Trusthorpe in Lincolnshire plays host to one of our favourite events in the local music calendar — Gathering on the Green — and this year's Sunday 6th September edition did not disappoint.
We headed down as we do every year, and from the moment we arrived it was clear this was going to be another cracking day. The event was, as always, extremely well organised, with live music filling the green from start to finish.

Interim music throughout the day was provided by the brilliant Disco Genie, keeping the atmosphere buzzing between sets and stage management by Vincent Pickering keeping everything running smoothly on stage.

Sound for the event was provided by Nicholson Audio, with Paul working tirelessly behind the scenes all day long. Having provided sound ourselves, we know from personal experience exactly how demanding this kind of work is — and it really does make or break an event. Hats off to Paul and the team for keeping everything sounding great throughout.
Community at its Best
Events like Gathering on the Green are so important — for local communities and for musicians alike. There's a mutual benefit that's hard to put into words: performers get a platform, audiences get an experience, and communities get exactly the kind of shared moment that brings people together.
The weather was largely on our side too. Yes, there was the ubiquitous downpour — it wouldn't be a British outdoor event without one — but it soon passed over and the day carried on in fine style.

None of this happens without the dedicated committee of volunteers who work incredibly hard to stage the event year after year. They deserve everyone's thanks and appreciation — and they have ours in abundance.
