Nu-X Trident: Declare War on Tone
Share
It's not a nuclear submarine. It won't split atoms or patrol the deep ocean. But the Nu-X Trident NME-5 is absolutely built to wage war — a full-scale assault on mediocre tone, uninspiring rigs, and the tyranny of carrying a pedalboard the size of a dining table.
This is the flagship integrated amp modeller and multi-effects pedal from Nu-X, and it means business.
One Pedal. Total Domination.
The Trident is built into a single die-cast aluminium housing — bomber-grade construction that's ready for the stage, the studio, and everything in between. Inside, Nu-X's new proprietary TSAC-4K physical modelling algorithm runs on separate dedicated DSP engines for amp simulation and effects. That's not a gimmick — it means your amp models and your effects are each getting the full processing power they deserve, with no compromise.
An Arsenal of Amp Models
With 27 amplifier models, 27 cabinet simulations, and 4 microphone models, the Trident gives you a full armoury of classic and modern tones at your feet. From glassy cleans to searing high-gain, from vintage British crunch to modern American punch — it's all here, dialled in and ready to deploy.
Need to go further? Load up to 32 additional IR slots with your own custom cab impulse responses and make it truly yours.
Effects That Actually Keep Up
The Trident isn't just an amp modeller with a few effects bolted on. It's a full multi-effects platform: boosters, filters, modulations, delay, and reverb — all running through a send/return loop with selectable serial or parallel routing. You can even choose your amp and effects block order, so your signal chain works exactly the way your ears want it to.
A 30-second phrase looper rounds things out for practice, performance, and on-the-fly creativity.
Built for the Modern Guitarist
Full MIDI implementation means the Trident plays nicely with the rest of your setup. A USB-C port handles PC/Mac editing, firmware updates, and doubles as a USB audio interface — so you can go straight from stage to DAW without breaking a sweat. The backlit LCD display keeps your settings visible in any light.
