As a very dense wood, oak has a natural hardness meaning it is particularly durable.

These oak drum sticks are extremely suited to hard hitters looking for clear drum response and defined cymbal articulation.

Lets face it - oak is the drum stick material chosen by a large proportion of heavy rock drummers.
