The Ozark Appalachian dulcimer has an attractive hourglass shape with 4 'F' sound holes. This is a quality build instrument constructed from a spruce laminated top and maple laminated back, sides, fingerboard and peghead.
Tuning is made easy with individual open gear machine tuning heads.
The Dulcimer is frequently used in many types of traditional folk music but has also crept in to many more contemporary styles.
Featuring four strings - double melody and two single course strings - there are many alternative tunings; we suggest (1st) DD-G-D (3rd). N.B. Treble (1st) is towards player on a Dulcimer.
